Agilent Technologies is a one of the leading manufacturers of analytical instrumentation for chromatography and spectroscopy, including gas and liquid chromatographs, mass spectrometers (GC-MS and LC-MS), chromatography data systems, UV-Vis diode-array spectrophometers, ICP-MS, capillary electrophoresis, Lab-on-a-Chip products, and a complete line of columns and supplies for gas and liquid chromatography, CE, UV-Vis, and ICP/MS. A various hardware and software system control and data handling products.
Featured products for gas chromatography: The single-channel HP 6850 Series GC is a small, rugged, and easy-to-use GC for customers who support production operations in the chemical, petrochemical, and petroleum industries. The rugged, high-speed HP Quad Series micro GCs are designed to analyze the most complex gas samples. The HP Quad Series is ideal for applications that require multiple columns at different settings, multiple sample inlets or more than one carrier gas. It can be configured as a laboratory or portable unit. Four independently-controlled GC modules, each including injector, column, column heater and detector, provide the ultimate in analytical flexibility and peak confirmation, high speed of analysis. For complex natural gas applications, these micro GCs separate and analyze C1-C9, O2, N2, CO2 and He in less than 100 seconds. A new multipurpose autosampler, the MPS 2, offers completely automated solid-phase microextraction (SPME) sampling. The instrument has been designed for use with HP 6890 GC and GC/MS systems by Gerstel GmbH (Germany), an HP Channel Partner. The MPS 2 combines with a Gerstel temperature-programmable (PTV) inlet to provide automated SPME capabilities using a dedicated SPME syringe holder and special firmware. Liquid or headspace analysis is possible by simple selection of the sampling depth of the fiber in the vial. All aspects of the SPME analysis, including thermal equilibration, sample agitation and heating up to 200C, are completely automated and programmable.
The Agilent 1100 Series Modules and Systems for HPLC: Pumping systems include solvent bottles and cabinet. Isocratic, Quaternary and Binary Pumps and Degasser. Column Compartment with optional selection valve. Standard and thermostatted autosamplers and Micro Plate Sampler. Detectors- Refractive Index Detector, Multiple Wavelength Detector, Variable Wavelength Detector, Diode array Detector, Fluorescence Detector, LC/MSD Mass Selective Detector and Electrochemical Detector.
The Agilent 1100 Series Capillary LC system is designed for increased sensitivity and for analyzing limited sample volumes, typically found in the biopharmaceutical research environment. This system, based on the reliable Agilent 1100 Series HPLC system, uses a unique pump technology that optimizes the system for capillary LC. The new Agilent 1100 Series capillary pump incorporates an electronic flow control (EFC) that measures and controls the actual flow rate, rather than depending on calculations. This assures flow rate stability throughout the analysis. The pump provides flow rates from 1ґl/min up to 100ґl/min, with full gradient capability for capillary LC and 2.5ml/min in normal mode for a wide range of flexibility. The Agilent 1100 Capillary LC system includes micro vacuum degasser, micro autosampler, thermostatted column compartment, capillary pump, diode-array detector with 500-nl flow cell, PC hardware and dedicated software for instrument control and data analysis.
CE/MS, LC/MS, and LC/MS(n) Products: ESQUIRE-LC Ion Trap LC/MS (n) System, Agilent1100 Series LC/MSD, Molecular Weight Confirmation System for Combinatorial Libraries, Molecular Weight Confirmation System for Medicinal and Synthetic Chemistry, Agilent G2711AA Protein Database Search Software.
The ESQUIRE-LC Ion Trap LC/MS(n) is a high performance liquid chromatograph/mass spectrometer (LC/MS) system that integrates the Agilent's 1100 Series HPLC and electrospray ionization/atmospheric-pressure chemical ionization (ESI/APCI) ion source are combined with Bruker Daltonik's multipole ion-trap MS and MS(n) analyzer. The Agilent 1100 Series LC/MSD is a benchtop mass selective detector for liquid chromatography with a choice of atmospheric pressure ionization (API) -electrospray (ES) and atmospheric pressure chemical ionization (APCI) interfaces.
Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer. The system is designed for use by molecular biologists and biochemists working with polymerase-chain-reaction (PCR) products, restriction enzyme digests or ribonucleic acid (RNA) preparation. The Agilent 2100 bioanalyzer is designed for the automated analysis of nucleic acids. Used together with various LabChip kits, the system integrates sample handling, separation, detection, and data analysis within a single, compact system architecture. Providing researchers with standardized methods, enhanced reproducibility and more easily shared data, the Agilent 2100 bioanalyzer vastly improves experimental productivity. As many as twelve different samples can be analyzed in each chip. This allows researchers to perform a wide array of different nucleic acid analyses on the same hardware platform. The integration of fluid control, sample injection, separation, detection, and data analysis into a single system also eliminates the need for additional imaging and analysis equipment.
The Agilent GeneArray Scanner. The GeneArray scanner is a genetic analysis tool designed to set the pace for genetic advancement. The scanner is part of the Affymetrix GeneChip® analysis system. DNA Microarray Reader. Agilent provides TAP customers with a state-of-the-art DNA Microarray Reader. The laser-induced fluorescence scanner enables the optimal extraction of useful data from microarrays. The DNA Microarray Reader can read a glass slide at high resolution in two colors, in less than 10 minutes, recording pixel-specific intensity information. The scanner's design is optimized toward lower limit of detection, with a high dynamic range and minimal spectral crosstalk, enabling researchers to achieve rapid, accurate, and dependable results. An autoloader with a 48-slide capacity and a barcode reader that automatically identifies each slide will be standard features, allowing unattended batch analysis. Manual Hybridization Unit. A sturdy, easy to use holder is provided to facilitate the manual hybridization process and make it reproducible. This holder encases the glass slide in a chamber that provides for insertion and removal of hybridization and wash buffers, as well as immersion in a water bath. All components of the chamber that come into contact with the hybridization solution are disposable, reducing the risk of cross-contamination. Agilent produces custom in situ oligonucleotide microarrays for TAP customers on glass slides, on demand.
