The specialized exhibition "Laboratory", a unique exhibition of such direction in Northwestern region of Russia, is held in Saint Petersburg with the objective of demonstration of the latest laboratory equipment, devices, research technologies, and consumables.

Such exhibition in Saint Petersburg is not casual. From one side, Saint Petersburg is a largest scientific center with more than 500 Scientific and Research Institutes and Higher Educational Establishments of various branches of industry that are in great need for laboratory equipment and necessity in complete renovation. From the other side, Saint Petersburg occupies the first position in Russia in the food and cosmetic industries growth rate. These two branches are active consumers of laboratory equipment.

In September 2002 exhibition "Laboratory" was held for the first time and received positive responses of specialists.
