The automatic viscometer cleaner AVS 26 works in combination with viscosity measuring units of type: AVS 310. 350 and 450 By using capillary viscometers specially designed for the AVS 26, it is possible to clean the viscometers after the measuring procedure. The viscometer remains in the thermostatic bath. The AVS 26 is only suitable for use with non-aggressive organic solvents. Two different solvents can be used; the first removes the sample from the viscometer and the second cleans and dries the viscometer. Various cleaning programmes, which differ in solvent consumption and cleaning quality, can be selected. The following types of viscometers can be connected to the AVS 26: Ubbelohde (DIN): 540 .. and 541 ..; TC-Ubbelohde (DIN): 542 .., 543 .. and 544 ..; Ubbelohde (ASTM): 545 .. and Cannon-Fenske-Routine viscometer type: 546 ..
